Season 30 (1993)
Season 30 would've aired in July 5th to November 13th, 1993, being the third season with Robert Lindsay as the Eighth Doctor and the fourth season with Julia Sawalha as Kate Tollinger.
This season would've a brand new title sequence. It starts with a white galaxy in a red-pink space background as the TARDIS zooms past the camera. A skull zooms out revealing the Doctor's face. It dissolves and the outlined words "DOCTOR WHO" stacked against each other write themselves as a red glowing line orbits around the last two Os flashing the words to show the logo. It zooms in and fades out. The episode title, writer credit and part number fade in and fade out respectively, transitioning into the episode. A new theme would also be made. And the composer is Mark Ayres.
It would've had 6 serials, 18x25 minute episodes and 1x120 minute movie which I'll talk about next time. With that being said, here is Doctor Who season 30.
THE DALEK FACTOR
by SIMON CLARK
When a Thal platoon arrive on a hostile planet investigating reports that Dalek artefacts have been detected, they are unprepared for what they find. In an underground room are the Doctor and Kate Tollinger.
With death and horror their only companions, the Thals make their way with the Professor into the heart of a crumbling Dalek citadel in search of answers... only to find that the Daleks are the least of the horrors they must face.
This would've had a scene where the Daleks give people the Dalek Factor, hence the name.
VERGLAS OF THE CYBERMEN
by DAVID BANKS
In 2006, the world is about to be overwhelmed by a disaster that might destroy human civilisation: the inversion of the Earth's magnetic field. Deep in an Antarctic base, the FLIPback team is frantically devising a system to reverse the change in polarity.
Above them, the SS Elysium carries its jet-set passengers on the ultimate cruise. On board is Ruby Duvall, a journalist sent to record the FLIPback moment. Instead she finds two people called the Doctor and Kate Tollinger, who are locked out of the strange green box he says is merely a part of his time machine. And she finds old enemies of the Doctor: silver giants at work beneath the ice.
The Cybermen would've been back again.
SHAKEDOWN
by TERRANCE DICKS
For thousands of years the Sontaran clone-warriors and the Rutan gestalt have fought each other across the galaxy. Now the Sontarans have a plan to strike at the heart of the Rutan Empire, and utterly defeat the Rutan race.
The Doctor has his suspicions, but only one Rutan spy knows the Sontarans' secret. He is being pursued from planet to planet by Kate and by a Sontaran hit squad. After a confrontation aboard the racing space-yacht Tiger Moth, the chase culminates on the library planet Sentarion — where the Doctor's researches into the history of the Sontaran/Rutan war turn into explosive reality.
This would've been the return of the Sontarans.
LEGACY
by GARY RUSSELL
The Doctor and Kate are pursuing a master criminal. The trail leads to Peladon: a desolate world once home to a barbaric, feudal society. Now the Galactic Federation is attempting to bring prosperity and civilisation to the planet. But not all Peladonians support the changes, and when ancient relics are stolen from their Citadel, the representatives of the Federation are blamed. The Doctor suspects the Ice Warrior delegation, but before long the Time Lord himself is arrested for the crime — and sentenced to death.
Elsewhere, interplanetary mercenaries are bringing one of the galaxy's most evil artefacts to Peladon, apparently on the Doctor's instruction. Kate is getting friendly — perhaps too friendly — with the Ice Warriors she has studied for so long.
The players are making the final moves in a devious and lethal plan — but for once it isn't the Doctor's.
Hey, lookadis. The Ice Warriors are back.
BLOOD HARVEST
by TERRANCE DICKS
Dekker is a private eye, an honest one. But when Al Capone hires him to investigate a new joint called "Doc's", he knows this is one job he can't refuse. And just why are the Doctor and Kate selling illegal booze in a town full of murderous gangsters?
Meanwhile, Bernice has been abandoned on a vampire-infested planet outside normal space. There she meets a mysterious stranger called Romanadvoratrelundar — and discovers an ancient and malevolent power, linking 1929 Chicago with a lair of immortal evil.
The consequences of this story are inextricably linked to events in the Doctor's past.
This would've introduced a new recurring character, Tom Dekker, and featured the return of the Great Vampires.
DIVIDED LOYALTIES
by GARY RUSSELL
Many years ago the Doctor, a student at the Academy on Gallifrey, lost a friend to the mysterious and malevolent force known as the Celestial Toymaker. Now, in his eighth incarnation, the Doctor receives a telepathic call from his long-lost classmate, begging for help.
As he sets out to rescue his friend and exact revenge, Kate becomes increasingly involved. She, determined to justify his place aboard the TARDIS, opts to face the Toymaker's game challenges then, angered by the Doctor's actions, finds herself excluded by the people she thought were her friends. And what is the connection between the Toymaker and the planet Dymok, whose comatose inhabitants find a new saviour in the shape of Tegan Jovanka?
This would've been the return of the Celestial Toymaker.
