Season 27 (1990)

Season 27 would've aired in September 5th to December 8th 1990, being the fourth/last season with the Seventh Doctor, the fourth/last season with Ace McShane and the first season with Julia Sawalha as Kate Tollinger.

There would've been a tiny change to the titles. The episode title/writer's credit would've had a new style.

It would've had 4 serials and 14x25 minute episodes. With that being said, here is Doctor Who season 27.

EARTH AID

by BEN AARONOVICH

Welcome aboard the Space Vessel Vancouver. Its mission: to guard a vast shipment of grain from Earth to the planet Safenesthome.

Its Captain is called Ace. She seems a little unsure of herself. In fact, some might almost think she was new to the job...

Its medical officer is called simply "the Doctor", and he's perhaps not all he seems.

When mysterious ships target the Vancouver, Ace and the Doctor are pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, there's something nasty in the grain containers. And it's not very happy....

This would've taken place after the events of Survival, have it featured the Metatraxi.

ICE TIME

by MARC PLATT

Moscow 1967. The Doctor and Ace have arrived behind the Iron Curtain, and the Soviet Union is seeking a new weapon that will give it mastery in the Cold War.

What is the secret of the Martian relics? As the legendary War Lord Sezhyr returns to life, the Doctor is faced with some of his oldest and deadliest enemies.

The fate of Earth – and the future of Ace – are now intertwined...

This would've feature the return of the Ice Warriors. Also, Ace would've left to go to the Prydonian Academy in Gallifrey.

CRIME OF THE CENTURY

by KEVIN CLARKE

The year is 1989. In London, safe cracker Kate Tollinger breaks into a house — and finds more than the family jewels.

In the Middle East, the kingdom of Sayf Udeen is being terrorised by Soviet invaders and alien monsters.

And on the Scottish border, a highly guarded facility contains an advanced alien weapon.

These are all part of the Doctor's masterplan. But masterplans can go awry...

This would've marked by the first appearance of Kate Tollinger, played by Julia Sawalha.

ALIXION

by ROBIN MUKHERJEE

The Doctor & Kate arrive on the planet Alixion, home to a tribe of monks who consume potions that increase their life expectancy. Their leader is a mysterious, hooded man simply named 'The Abbot'. When the Doctor & Kate explore an old cave base underneath the surface, they find a hive of Time Beetles, who produce the potions by absorbing the minds of the recently deceased.

With the Doctor now a prisoner of the Abbot, Kate must work with an untrustworthy group of Monks named 'The Truth' to help free the endangered Time Beetles, banish the Abbot & rescue the Doctor. But will they be able to do all of that within 24 hours?

This would've featured actual bugs as monsters (not talking about the Wirrn). At the end, the Doctor would've regenerated to the 8th Doctor, played by the one and only Robert Lindsay.

Well, that's it for this episode for Doctor Who: Cerulean Future. Leave a comment on this post if you want more. And until then, see ya!
